LTE RF Tuning & Optimization Engineer

 

Currently responsible for Planning, tuning and optimization of LTE RF network for STC , previously worked for STC,Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ( KSA) as LTE Optimization Engineer for their TDD & FDD network in Riyadh and Jeddah as well as East region.

·                      Key responsibilities include post drive test analysis for each site for verifying PCI , Azimuths , Handover parameters ,PCI or TX swaps , in-depth cluster analysis for various issues including PS drops , Accessibility , Integrity, Handover failures etc. , performing stationary FTP.

·                      PCI Planning of LTE sites for two cities of KSA, Riyadh and Jeddah.

·                      In-depth Analysis of single site and/or cluster logs and providing recommendation for various LTE KPIs like PS Drops ( Retain ability ) , LTE Accessibility, LTE Integrity, LTE Mobility ( Handover tuning ) etc.

Analyzing and verifying throughput values, Antenna configurations, MIMO Configuration for each sector / site.

Preparation of Site acceptance report after in-depth analysis.

·                      Verifying PCI plan according to RND and analyzing PCI clashes if any.

·                      Review inputs for LTE Radio network design

·                      TAC dimensioning & planning of LTE sites for two cities of KSA, Riyadh and Jeddah.

·                      TAC-LAC Mapping of all LTE sites to corresponding WCDMA sites.

·                      Preparing drive routes using MAPINFO and Co-ordination with Drive Test team for preliminary tests conducted on each site and/or cluster.

·                      Defining and planning Clusters of appropriate sites according to geographical location.

Single site and/or Cluster drive post Drive Test analysis (TEMS log analysis) for each site for verifying site configurations, PCI , Azimuths , Handover parameters , power parameters, PCI or TX swaps for each sector/site.

·                      Responsible for Physical Optimization involving recommendation of tilts, azimuths etc.

·                      Audit and verify MO’s, parameters with RNDCIQ values and extracting discrepancies.

·                      Analyzing UE traces (UETR) for in-depth analysis, wire shark captured traces for analyzing throughput issues if any

·                      3G KPIs analysis and reporting for Newly Integrated Sites as per customer agreement, Includes RRC attempts, RRC Failures, CS/PS RAB attempts, CS/PS RAB failures, Data only (DO) & Data voice (DV) (CSFB) Drives analysis.

·                       Post Drive Test (TEMS log analysis), Post processing of drive data (site shakedown process), and Team Co-ordination with LTE Initial Tuning Team for Ericsson Central Region.

·                       Analysis of cluster drives and providing solutions for drop cases, LTE integrity, LTE retainability, Throughput issues.

·                       Performing LTE Pre launch optimization tasks covering variety of test cases as per Customer requirements.

·                       To Perform Stationary UDP, TCP Upload and download Test Using Iperf Commands. Observe the Layer 3 Messages.

·                       Handling Radio Network Design, Initial tuning and acceptance of 3600 Ericsson LTE Sites. Roll out in and around Riyadh & Jeddah cities with TDD-LTE 2300MHz & FDD-LTE 1800MHzband for Saudi Telecom Company STC.

·                       Main responsibilities include customer interfacing from Ericsson side for technical discussions related to LTE Radio domain & project roll-out.
